1. The Way (Camino de Santiago)
Also known as “The Way of St. James, St. James’ Path, or St. James’ Trail”, this is the name for the routes that lead to the shrine of the apostle St. James. Located in Spain in the Cathedral of Santiago, many take this journey as a spiritual retreat, although The Way also sees its fair share of tourists and hikers. The paths are lined with beautiful churches and, according to legend, the remains of St. James himself.
